Dear GLCEDC Members and Friends:

The GLCEDC had a productive and eventful summer.

The GLCEDC is pleased to announce the addition of three new directors to its board. Also, with the help of Livingston County, the GLCEDC awarded an Economic Incentive Grant to Anthony Liftgates and approved an Education Enhancement Stimulus Grant for S.T.E.A.M. to Prairie Central District C.U.S.D. #8.

With its own funds, the GLCEDC provided a Community Enhancement and Economic Stimulus Grant to the Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County, and a Building Improvement Grant to Van Vessen Auto Expo.

Anthony Liftgates Incentive
Economic Incentive Grant
Anthony Liftgates, Pontiac, was approved for a $50,000 Economic Incentive Grant as it plans to hire 10 new employees. To qualify for this incentive, Anthony Liftgates must provide a wage and benefit package of $29,201 annually

Prairie Central District C.U.S.D. #8 Incentive
S.T.E.A.M. Grant
Prairie Central C.U.S.D. #8, was approved for a $105,107 Education Enhancement Stimulus Grant impacting nearly 2,000 students. The grant is to be used for the purchase of S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) equipment, curriculum enhancement, and professional development training.

Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County Incentive
Community Enhancement and Economic Stimulus Grant
The Boys and Girls Club of Livingston County was approved for a $7,908 Community Enhancement and Economic Stimulus Grant to be used for a high school robotics club and to send the club to the first robotics competition in central Illinois.

Van Vessen's Auto Expo Incentive
Building Improvement Grant
Van Vessen Auto Expo, Dwight, was approved for a $9,155 Building Improvement Grant for interior and exterior improvements to their building.
