Ongoing opportunities
Ushers | Concession Stand Help | Box Office

Stage Door Theatre is looking for volunteers to join the magic of live theatre in the heart of Dunwoody. Positions are open for Ushers, Concessions, and Box Office assistants for the theatre's three upcoming events. All are ones you do not want to miss! Lend us a few hours of your time, and as a thank you, you may stay and watch the show on the night you volunteer.

A Midsummer Night's Dream | Sept. 4 and 5
You Go to My Head | Sept. 26
Romeo and Juliet | Oct. 1- 24
Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays | 4-hour shifts

The Jewish Family & Career Services Food Pantry needs help! Volunteer Monday, Wednesday or Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. sorting food, unloading and packing, as well as helping clients shop. Must be able to lift 30lbs and work outside. Contact Jennifer Weissman at 770-677-9431 for sign-up information.
CAC Food Pantry and Thrift Shop

The Community Assistance Center is seeking volunteers in its food pantry and thrift store. Volunteers are needed with processing food donations, shelving donations, and distributing food to clients in the food pantry. In the thrift store, volunteers are needed to help with sorting donations. Green Thumbs

The Spruill Center for the Arts is looking for two or three volunteers to help plant, water, and maintain four new raised garden beds that were recently built by Eagle Scout candidate Daniel Corriher. Interested volunteers should email Alan Mothner at amothner@spruillarts.org. The Spruill Arts Center is located at 5339 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.

The Dunwoody Nature Center is seeking help for its public volunteer day, held on the second Saturday of every month. Typical volunteer work includes invasive plant removal, trail maintenance, park improvement projects, and more. Children under parental supervision are welcome to attend. Come help the Dunwoody Nature Center look its best for all our community to enjoy!

Sept, 17-19 | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. each day

The Dunwoody Nature Center is seeking help for Monarchs & Margaritas, the organization's premier fundraising event. This event is held outdoors, so hands are needed to help set up and break down in the Lower Meadow. Your help is appreciated to ensure that the Dunwoody Nature Center can keep providing our community access to a beautiful outdoor space for years to come. We need several volunteers over three days for this event; please sign up today.

Saturday, Oct. 16 | #GreatDunwoodyCleanup

The City of Dunwoody invites volunteers to participate in the second annual #GreatDunwoodyCleanup on Oct. 16.

Individual participants and groups are encouraged to do the following: 1. Choose a spot in Dunwoody. It can be a street, stream, neighborhood common area, or wooded area. 2. Fill out an online form to share their plans with Dunwoody’s stormwater team. 3. Post photos of their progress on Oct. 16 using the hashtag #GreatDunwoodyCleanup

This is a rain or shine event that will last from sunrise to sundown. Community service verification is available upon request. Details are included in the online signup form.
Please note: Many volunteer opportunities require volunteer liability waivers and, in some cases, background checks. You will learn of any of these organization's special requirements with registration.
