This month we are featuring Paul Trefz, Vice President and Senior Agency Underwriter in our Philadelphia office. Paul has been in the title insurance industry for 45 years. In that time he has performed most of the tasks in the title insurance process, from searching and examining land records, title plant and production management, and claims evaluation. Paul has devoted most of his time, energy and enthusiasm to underwriting, primarily in Pennsylvania transactions but also in other jurisdictions.
Paul has been involved with Association of Title Examiners (which honored him with the Senior Certified Title Examiner designation and the Title Person of the Year recognition award). Paul has long been active with the PLTA and is a longtime member and sometimes Chairperson of the PLTA Education Committee, and has earned the Certified Land Title Professional designation and the Pentecost Service Award.
