2018 GLCEDC Economic Forecast
The 2018 GLCEDC Economic Forecast was a success with over 100 people attending. Paula Corrigan OSF Healthcare and GLCEDC Board Member, provided opening remarks and welcomed guests on behalf of the GLCEDC. Adam Dontz GLCEDC CEO, provided an update on companies which have received GLCEDC assistance. Collectively, the GLCEDC has provided incentives impacting over 1,600 jobs in Livingston County. Tana Utley Vice President, Large Power Systems, Caterpillar was the keynote speaker. Utley began her presentation by passing a fuel injector to the audience and explaining the production line at the Pontiac facility and how Caterpillar's global presence and their products impact construction around the world. Utley thanked Adam Dontz and all of the Livingston County stakeholders for their work with Caterpillar to create an Economic Incentive Grant which assisted in the creation of over 200 jobs at the Pontiac facility.

 breakout session at IMA's conference.
Adam Dontz GLCEDC, spoke at the Illinois Manufacturers' Association (IMA) Roundtable Discussion held at Heartland Community College (HCC) on October 25, 2017. Topics included apprenticeship, investing in vocational training, talent pipelines, and community solutions to industry challenges.

Students at the Livingston Area Career Center (LACC) work with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) equipment that was purchased with funds from a Community Enhancement and Economic Stimulus grant.

GLCEDC Helps Fairbury Business Expand
BMCH Properties, LLC is constructing approximately 6,336 square feet of new space in Fairbury for Varsitee Screen Printing and Miller Trimworks. The GLCEDC assisted BMCH Properties in approaching the City of Fairbury and Prairie Central Community Unit School District #8 for a two year Property Tax Abatement. The City of Fairbury approved the abatement on October 18, 2017 and Prairie Central Community Unit School District #8 approved the abatement on October 19, 2017. Read the Pontiac Daily Leader Article
