Summer at Camp Seale Harris has come to a close with our final summer session concluding on July 26. Over 500+ children, teens and families came to Camp Seale Harris overnight camps and day camps over the span of 8 weeks! 70th Anniversary Items Now Available To Order!
All year long, Camp Seale Harris is celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the founding of Camp Seale Harris in 1949. Camp Staff sported tie-dye camp shirts to celebrate this milestone! Love it? Fall Family Camp?
Fall Family Camp will be held  Friday, October 25 - Sunday, October 27  at beautiful Lake Martin. This popular program is where families connect, share, and learn from T1D medical specialists. Kids make T1D friends of all ages and parents have focused information sessions including workshops, speakers & panel discussions. Fun activities include: ziplining, archery, canoeing, fishing, pumpkin carving, campfire and a fall festival! 

Registration is open now  -  space is limited  so  register  while you can! Scholarships are available by application based on financial need.

2019 Diabetes WALK Success!
The 2019 Diabetes WALK for Camp Seale Harris wrapped up in Birmingham on Sunday, May 5. This has been an amazing year for all of our WALK events across Alabama & Florida! More than 1000 walkers on 185 different teams across 5 cities joined us from March to May, helping send kids with Type 1 Diabetes to Camp Seale Harris this summer! All donations made to the Diabetes WALK help children attend Camp Seale Harris. The kids of Camp Seale Harris are truly grateful for each and every donor, WALK team leader, camper fundraiser, and walk attendee. Know that no matter how big or small your gift was, YOU made an impact in the life of a child with diabetes!
WALK Awards
All campers who raised funds were recognized at camp. Fundraisers who raised up to $800 received a T1D Hero Award Certificate.Team honorees raising over $800 received a Star Trophy.Campers raising over $1,000 soaked their favorite counselor! Campers raising over $2500 won Reserved Bunk, Trophy, and Soak the Counselor!

New Staff Spotlight
Meet Nicole Martin!

Nicole Martin is the newest member of the SDES Camp Seale Harris staff, joining the team full time as Communications and Events Manager on May 15, just in time for summer camps! Nicole will be managing family and supporter contact from our Birmingham office, accounts receivable and payable, events including the Diabetes Walk for Camp Seale Harris, CSH social media, enews, website, and donor relations. Nicole will often be the voice you hear asking, "How can we help you?" if you call our main Camp Office.

A graduate of the University of Alabama with a BA in Communication and Information Sciences, Nicole has worked and volunteered with several non profits including:
The Alzheimer's Association, Habitat for Humanity, and the Emblem Club. Her passion for making a difference for others led her to seek a non-profit career. Nicole's favorite thing
about working at Camp Seale Harris is being at Camp and seeing how much the kids learn about living with Type 1 diabetes and the joy they have in being together. Welcome to the Camp Seale Harris family Nicole!
