Dear Students:

The Fall 2020 course schedule has been updated in eStudent to reflect the lecture/seminar courses that will now be offered in remote format.

In order to clearly mark these courses, an “R” has been added to the course section for any course that has been shifted from on campus to the remote format. Additionally, the room is now listed as Remote . Many of these courses allow students to work asynchronously (at their own pace and schedule throughout the week) and these courses have no designated day or time.

This is the same format for any courses originally scheduled with the OL designation (online classes that were already going to be online, pre-pandemic).
Example for an in-person course now in asynchronous remote format:
Some remote courses are scheduled to meet synchronously online at a designated day and time—this meeting corresponds to the originally scheduled course time’s first hour. It is expected that students are online with their classmates and instructor for this session every week, whether by Zoom or another avenue. The designated day and time is listed in the course offering.

Example of a remote course that meets synchronously for part of its time:
Most experiential learning courses such as science labs, NU, RT, ST labs/simulations and clinicals will remain in-person on campus or at the appropriate site as indicated by the schedule. Any changes to these courses will be reflected in eStudent. Clinical information will follow in more detail in early August as our clinical sites finalize plans to allow students to return.

Given these changes, your course preferences may be different from when you originally built your schedule. Please carefully review your updated schedule for fall and make any scheduling changes you may need via the registration tool in eStudent.
