Box Tops for Education
WVCA is an officially registered school with Box Tops for Education. Through Box Tops for Education, you can earn cash for WVCA through qualified grocery purchases. Use the Box Tops app to easily scan your store receipt or clip traditional Box Tops and send them to WVCA.

There are two ways to participate, depending on the label listed on qualified purchases. Learn more below:

  1. Mobile App: Download the Box Tops app below, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipt (within 14 days of purchase) to find participating products. The app will automatically credit Box Tops earnings when you choose WVCA as your school designation. Download the app here: Google Play or iPhone App Store
  2. Traditional Clipped Box Tops: Physical Box Top clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on products throughout stores. Simply clip any unexpired Box Tops from packages and send them to WVCA (1133 Wyoming Ave, Forty Fort, PA 18704) with attention to Christine Meluskey. Please send all traditional paper Box Tops clips into school by October 30, 2020, for our Fall submission deadline.
Halloween Activities 2020
Wyoming Valley Children's Association is excited to host our annual Halloween parade, but due to COVID-19 it will look a little different this year. Our staff planned a new schedule for this event, to ensure the safety of all children and families. Parade times will be staggered, masks must be worn by all parents, guests, staff, and children who are able. The parade times are listed in the guideline below and parents will not be allowed to enter the building for classroom parties.

WVCA is trying our best to still make this Halloween a memorable experience for all of our students and families. Please reach out to our office at 570-714-1246 with any questions or concerns.

Meet the Staff 2020-2021
The magic and miracles that happen each day at WVCA are due to our dedicated teachers, therapists, and administrative staff. Without their hard work, passion, and creativity WVCA would not be able to achieve our mission of student success.

Thank you to our 2020-2021 staff for rising to the challenge of our "new reality" and adapting our school year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If you want to thank a WVCA staff member who "went above and beyond" you can post a #WVCAstaff shoutout on social media or email your response to [email protected] and we will share it with our staff.

The Lifeblood of our Community
WVCA is excited to be a member of a brand-new community collaboration called The Lifeblood of our Community.

A blood drive will be held on December 3rd - 5th at Miller-Keystone Blood Center in Pittston, PA to collect needed blood donations. Please "save the date" to give blood on behalf of WVCA during this event!

By participating in this event, WVCA and four other local nonprofit groups will receive grant funding dollars to help with operational expenses.

Help us reach our goal of 150 blood donors during this 3-day event in December! All COVID-19 safety procedures will be followed and blood donors will reserve their date/time slot ahead of the event.

Stay tuned to WVCA's social media pages and website for more information as the date approaches. Contact [email protected] with any questions.
