Every year at this time, I am thankful. This year in particular, I count my blessings. Indeed gratitude is one of the things that has helped me to stay "centered" during this incredibly challenging year.
Finding ways to give back, to share the many gifts that I have been given and to be thankful is one of the things that has set this year apart. It has held me up during the innumerable moments that I was concerned about my own health and safety and that of my family.
I am thankful for the mantras from my world of early childhood as I negotiated this year.

I am thankful for all of you. Each of you has done the hard work this year, of serving on the front lines for patients across the state. You have done so, with grace and with kindness despite a global pandemic. As I do consultations across Michigan, I am truly humbled by the complexity of the patients that you follow and the wisdom and strength that you bring to very challenged families. Our state is fortunate, indeed, to have you working tirelessly on behalf of our children and families.
May all of you enjoy some well-deserved respite with family and friends this Thanksgiving holiday.

Now Offering Telepsychiatry Evaluations |
As of this summer, we offer in-home, video-based patient evaluations as a follow-up to same-day phone consultations statewide to all MC3-enrolled providers. As an enhanced service component, we are offering a one-time psychiatric evaluation of the patient, with recommendations to the primary care provider for ongoing care. Learn more.

MC3 Perinatal Expanding Thanks to New State Funding |
Under the leadership of Dr. Maria Muzik, the MC3 Perinatal component was recently awarded $750,000 in funding from the State to expand and integrate screening into the program. The funding will be used to broaden outreach and enrollment strategies for perinatal providers across the state, integrate universal screening via the High Tech, High Touch (HT2) ‘Mommy Checkup App’ in Southeast Michigan prenatal clinics, and create and maintain a virtual resource list of perinatal behavioral health treatments and community-based services. |
