An Update From Serendipity Quilt Shop

Fall 2020
We have officially made it through the Summer of 2020. Not sure how we did it but I do know that Serendipity Quilt Shop made it through because of Bonnie Tester- Super Woman and her band of mighty helpers- Pam, the Dianes, and Claudia made it happen. Bonnie has gotten almost everything in the shop into the online store and has shopped with you and for you to fill many orders since March. I know shopping in person is the best - for you and for us, but this is how we continue to function for now.

Thank you for all of the positive feedback you have given us and for your patience.

that is not available on our online shop.

Besides the new inventory we are adding, we are continuing the weekly sale of selected items. It runs from Monday through Sunday. We have many of our "End of Bolt" fabric bundles and "Last Call" fabric online with photos so you are not missing out on them!

Helping Others
Many of you know that Barbara Hudson lives part time here and part time in Oregon. We are happy that she was here when the pandemic began and has stayed. Her daughter was in the "Get Ready" to evacuate zone for some of the fires and Barbara's apartment is right near them. All is well for her family but not for many others who have lost their homes and more. She has connected with a quilt shop out there that is collecting and donating quilts to all elementary and middle school students in the towns of Talent and Phoenix who lost their home in the fires. We will collect any "new or barely used" lap or twin quilt and Barbara will send them to the Sew Creative Ashland Quilt Shop in Ashland OR. Just let us know if you will be dropping any quilts off on the porch so we can grab them and get them boxed and shipped.

Our boxes are ready! Please donate if you can so we can fill them!
"Mystery Quilt" Sew Along - will ring in 2021!
There is a mystery quilt designed by Linda Grigsby waiting in the wings. It is an 8 week project just for the top, so I have made the decision that it will begin in January 2021, instead of now.
Countdown to 2021
12 Weeks of Projects & Seasonal Fun
We do have something that I hope will be fun and keep you busy between now and then. Beginning October 1st we will be sharing some of our favorite seasonal and fun projects for you to work on. Some will be perfect to give as gifts, some can "holiday up" your home, and some can do both. Projects will be made with free patterns on the website, some purchased patterns and some we have made up just for this! Some will be available as kits and some will be perfect with your stash or both! There will be links to resources you will need. I hope there will be something for everyone. Just trying to mix it up a bit!!!

We are calling it "Countdown to 2021- 12 weeks of Projects and Seasonal Fun". Ashley has made a home for it, under the Quick Links section on the home page of that the website. All of the projects will be posted there at least weekly. We will also post on Facebook and you can share what you are making on the Serendipity Stir Crazy Sewing Chicks Facebook group page. We welcome you to share the fun holiday/seasonal projects you are working on.

There might be some surprises and/or prizes along the way, so join in the fun!
"Serendipity House in the Pumpkin Patch"
Sew Along
This sew along has wrapped up but you can view many of the projects in the Serendipity House in the Pumpkin Patch photo gallery under our quick links on the home page. You can also still email me a photo of your project that can be posted in the gallery. I did draw the $25 gift card winner on Saturday and the winner is Sue Umstead from Pennsylvania. Congratulations Sue!
Watch as our Website gets a facelift!
Ashley, Bonnie and I are working to update and upgrade our website, which of course has to be done in a way that does not disrupt the online shopping. This will take some time but I hope will be better for all of us!
We sincerely hope that you are well.
