Dear Students:
Warm Greetings from Student Affairs! We are committed to offer you a Trocaire experience that is meaningful, purposeful and memorable. I hope that this communication finds you and yours safe and well. As the start of the Fall 2020 semester approaches, I wanted to share some information that you will find helpful.
Student Support Services:
Free tutoring, academic coaching, academic advisement, accessibility services, counseling, career services, enrichment workshops and other support services are available both in-person and virtually. In addition, the Catherine’s Cupboard food pantry will be providing food and toiletry items upon request. You can learn more about all the services mentioned above at https://trocaire.edu/student-life/.
Student Life:
Though the way in which we will deliver our student activities has changed due to COVID-19, our enthusiasm has not! Student Life will continue to offer engaging activities and opportunities for students to connect with one another, as well as members of the campus community. Our New Student Welcome will be held the second week of August, and Welcome Week will commence on Aug. 31. Virtual student programming with prizes will be offered throughout the semester, food trucks will be back on campus, student clubs and organizations will be active, certificates in Cultural Competency and Leadership will be offered virtually at no cost, and of course, our celebrations will continue.
Staying Connected:
The COVID-19 pandemic has imposed incredible strain and drain on our daily lives. High levels of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty are felt by most under these unnatural conditions. A great way to fight the pandemic fatigue and isolation of social distancing is to stay connected virtually with family, friends, co-workers, and of course, your Trocaire family!
Stay safe. Be well.
