Welcome New Faculty Members
Rebecca Newcomb, Director of Learning Services

BA: English Literature, Saint Michael’s College
MA: English Literature, University of Massachusetts: Boston
Master of Education: Language & Literacy, Harvard University

After graduating from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2019, Rebecca started working at Hampshire Country School in New Hampshire as a Dorm Parent and Language/Electives teacher. An avid reader, a classically trained vocalist and flutist, and a lover of language, she has spent much free time dedicated to learning as many languages as she can, but her favorite, by far, is Ancient Greek. Rebecca is excited to live on campus and explore the West Coast.


Griffin Gasink, Humanities Teacher

MA: Social Studies Education, University of South Florida

Griffin previously worked at Lake Tahoe Preparatory School for two summers before joining full time as a humanities teacher. Griffin appreciates Lake Tahoe Prep’s small class sizes and ability to work individually with students. An avid world traveler who has visited over 15 countries, Griffin has also lived in China and Morocco. Griffin uses these experiences to present multiple global perspectives to students. Griffin also loves hiking and playing rugby.
Nathan Riebli, Music Teacher

BA: Music Composition from the University of the Pacific-Conservatory of Music
MA:Music Composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music
MFA: Musical Theatre Writing from NYU's Tisch School of The Arts.

Nathan is a composer, music director, educator, and orchestrator from the San Francisco Bay Area. Nathan has had music on over sixty television series to date, underscoring reality tv, true crime dramas, and nature shows. He's written award-winning music for opera, orchestra, and music theatre. Nathan was the recipient of the ASCAP 2018 Max Dreyfus Award for New Music-Theatre Composer. He received an “Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction” award from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle in 2014. Nathan is also an avid hiker and snowboarder and is delighted to join the Lake Tahoe Preparatory School, team. Nathan is excited to explore music and the outdoors with this fabulous group of students and staff!
