UC Merced Dining Services is thrilled to welcome new students to campus, as well as serve those students, faculty, staff and visitors returning to campus with our delicious variety of dining and retail options. Dining Services is working diligently to respond to a very dynamic situation, and we would like to let everyone know the latest about retail locations and dining on campus:
Pavilion Dining Center is open and ready to serve guests indoors. All individuals are required to wear face coverings indoors on UC Merced-controlled property. An exception is provided for eating and drinking. Click here for information on using the Pavilion Dining Center as aligned with the campus’ full COVID-19 Mitigation Measures Executive Directive.
All dining and retail operations are cashless. Meal plans, credit and debit cards and Cat Dollars are accepted at Dining Services locations. More information on dining operations is available on our website.
Dining Services is excited to announce the opening of Bobcat Snack Stop on the first floor of the Kolligian Library. For more information on our newest convenience store offering a variety of drinks, snacks, supplies and more, please click here. The Lantern Café, also on the first floor of Kolligian Library, is now open.

Dining Services is hiring! More information on open positions is available here.
Dining Services thanks you for your support and patience during the pandemic. Staffing shortages and supply chain delays have impacted our operations, and our dedicated dining staff are working hard to meet campus needs. Menu substitutions may take place that are not reflected on our online menus. We continue to work to ensure the best experience for all our guests.
Thank you for being part of the UC Merced campus community. We’re happy you’re here! Please contact Dining Services at dining@ucmerced.edu with any dining questions.
