What do you get when you add 5 weeks of Sankofa STEM Academy with motivated 6th-grade students?

A 30.7 point increase in their math computation results!

We are so proud of all of our student's achievements. Our middle school students knocked it out of the park!

Between pre and post-test their hard work paid off with an increase of their average scores from 59.3 to 90.0, which is more one whole grade level increase in proficiency.

From the Desk of the Founder

As many of you may know, I founded STEM Greenhouse in 2014 with a mission to make a difference and grow STEM proficiency in vulnerable children. Since then, all STEM Greenhouse operations have been based out of my own house.

But the time has finally come!

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, STEM Greenhouse has a new home.

We are so excited to move into an official office space. It allows us to expand our programs, hire additional staff, and massively increase our impact on the lives of vulnerable students in Kent County.

STEM Scholars is Expanding!

Thanks to the support from the City of Grand Rapids we are able to expand our programs to two new schools.

Alger Middle School
Southwest Community Campus

Our new support and partnership with the Boy Scouts allows us to increase our programming ages!

Traditionally, we have only served the middle school grades, but we're now able to include students from Dickinson Academy and Martin Luther King Jr. Academy in 3rd through 5th grade!
