Feb. 12, 2021

Dear Students:

As we settle into the spring semester, we want to update you regarding plans for summer courses and the Fall 2021 schedule and class formats. Nearly a year into this global pandemic, we remain committed to your ability to meet program requirements and be successful, and are planning to bring back many on-campus classes for the fall.

Summer Courses
Trocaire will offer a variety of courses in the summer. These courses will be in the mostly online and remote formats we have used this spring, with limited in-person labs or simulations.

Fall 2021 Course Schedule
Students will continue to have a combination of class format options. Importantly, we are striving to bring as many seated courses back on campus as reasonable while continuing to follow CDC and NYS safety guidelines, including social distancing. We will make full use of our classrooms at our building on Choate Avenue along with spaces at Seneca Street and the Trocaire Achievement Complex on Transit Road.

In addition, we know that many of you have found that the flexibility of online classes works well with your busy lives. To that end, many courses will be available fully online as part of our normal course options.

It is important to note: due to the restraints on class size and other factors, not every course will be offered on site, and likewise not every course will have an online option. We ask students to be flexible about preferred class formats, as we continue to adapt the Trocaire experience to meet the many unique challenges of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

The schedule of fall classes will be available in mid-March, and registration opens at the end of March. Course types will be marked on the schedule.

Clinicals will continue to be at sites wherever and whenever possible. Your program will provide field-specific guidance on safety precautions and site requirements.

Additional updates on campus services, dining options and campus events will follow in later emails as we learn more about what New York State guidelines will allow. As always, we may have to make changes as COVID-19-related conditions continue to evolve.

Announcements will be on the COVID-19 | Remote Learning Resources page and sent to your Trocaire email. For questions, please contact Spring2021@trocaire.edu.
