Trauma, Healing, and Self Care: Taking Care of Yourself While Caring for Others

This workshop will explore the signs of trauma and secondary trauma, teach participants how to identify and manage triggers, provide tools on how to self regulate, and reflect on how to help a child who is experiencing a triggering moment.

During this workshop, you will learn about legal decisions to be made and prepare for should something happen to you as the caregiver. This workshop is brought to you by The Federation for Children with Special Needs

After a year and half of interrupted traditional education for children due to the pandemic, it is important now more than ever to advocate for and support the child in your care with regards to their education. This workshop will help you as caregivers identify concerns and how to communicate with and work with the child's school to address these concerns.
