Join Us in Celebrating Hispanic Heritage!
|
|
Each year, from September 15 through October 15, The WICT Network joins millions around the nation in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month. Diversity, equity and inclusion are cornerstones of our industry. Hispanic and Latin Americans have had, and continue to have, a profound impact on the media, entertainment, and technology industry. We look forward to celebrating their many accomplishments October 9-13 in New York City, as part of our industry's Diversity Week.
In a recent assessment, USA Today found that Hispanic and Latina women comprise only 1.6% of senior executives in the U.S.’s largest companies.
What about our industry specifically?
Tuesday, October 11, on the second day of our Leadership Conference, The WICT Network will host a Diversity Town Hall — presented in partnership with NAMIC and supported by the Walter Kaitz Foundation — to share the results of its most recent AIM/PAR survey. The results illuminate the current state of ethnic and gender diversity within the media and entertainment industry, benchmarking data vital to the advancement of people of color and women. This original research allows companies to set goals and policies to improve their workforce diversity, equity and inclusion.
Session participants include:
- Rhonda Nesmith Crichlow, SVP & Chief Diversity Officer, Charter Communications
- Loren Hudson, SVP & Chief Diversity Officer, Comcast Cable
- Ann McGlennen, Chief Human Resources Officer, Midco
- Kia Painter, EVP & Chief People Officer, Cox Communications
- Aisha Thomas-Petit, Chief People & Diversity Officer, AMC Networks
- Suzanne Malveaux, Journalist & National Correspondent, CNN — Moderator
Register for our Leadership Conference to take part in the session, including the interactive Q&A to follow.
