FREE ADMISSION TO MEMBERS FOR HOME REGULAR-SEASON ATHLETIC EVENTS | |
North Allegheny is home to one of the most successful athletic programs in the state and nation. Boasting over 40 interscholastic athletic programs, a variety of teams represent the pride of North Allegheny. NA Gold Card members can enjoy the opportunity to watch our athletic teams in action and can use their Gold Card for admission to all home regular-season athletic events. | |
ELEMENTARY / MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT
On Friday, September 20, the North Allegheny football team will host the Norwin Knights for a conference clash. The evening at Wright Field at Newman Stadium will also be recognized as Elementary Night and Military Appreciation Night. The Tigers will don special uniforms to pay tribute to all current and retired military members and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Please join us for this special evening.

BAIERL CENTER OPEN FOR GOLD CARD MEMBERS | |
The Baierl Center, located on the campus of North Allegheny Senior High School adjacent to Newman Stadium, offers a variety of amenities that are complimentary for NA Gold Card members. These include an indoor multi-purpose room, meeting and conference rooms, a fitness center, an indoor track available to the public, and a training and rehabilitation center for student use only. The indoor track is available on weekdays from 5-7 AM and 6-9 PM, and on Saturdays from 8 AM - 12 PM, based on availability.
During the school year, the Baierl Center is open to members Monday through Saturday, and its hours vary throughout the school year. The Center is closed on Sunday. When NASD is closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies, the Baierl Center is also closed. When the District operates on a delayed schedule, the Baierl Center morning session (5-7 AM) is canceled. For additional information, call 724-934-7238.

NA ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME BANQUET

The North Allegheny Athletic Hall of Fame banquet is scheduled for Thursday, October 17, at 6:00 PM at The Chadwick in Wexford. Thirteen inductees and four special award winners will be acknowledged as part of the Hall of Fame's 27th induction class at this esteemed annual event. Additionally, state champions from the 2023-2024 school year will be recognized, including the North Allegheny girls' volleyball team, the girls' cross country team, the girls' swimming and diving team, and swimmer Natalie Sens. Festivities will commence with a social hour at 5:00 PM. Tickets are $44 each and are available at the North Allegheny Athletic Office. | |
North Allegheny Superintendent Dr. Brendan Hyland unveiled the 2024-2029 Strategic / Comprehensive Plan before the School Board of Directors on Wednesday, August 7. The plan introduces a set of revised goals and a new reporting format called a Balanced Scorecard. These changes will push our district to achieve even higher levels of success and will make our achievements and opportunities for growth more transparent and user-friendly. | |
RETURN OF THE DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS | |
The North Allegheny School District is proud to announce the return of the Distinguished Achievement Awards (DAA) for the 2024-2025 school year.
After a brief hiatus, the North Allegheny Board of School Directors will once again honor students and employees who have achieved state and national-level recognition by presenting them with a DAA. The DAAs are presented at special ceremonies held immediately prior to regularly scheduled School Board meetings. Parents/guardians of the awardees along with the school principals and the nominating teachers, coaches, and/or sponsors are invited to attend.
CRITERIA FOR DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS (DAA)
- Must be school-related (school-sponsored or school-authorized)
- State awards in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place are recognized
- Multi-state or national awards in 1st - 10th place are recognized
- International awards are reviewed on a case-by-case basis for range of recognition
- The recipient must be a North Allegheny student or staff member
- Nominations must be made by a North Allegheny staff member
