Partners for Health was among 11 winners, and the only winner from New Jersey, named in the national I Partner with My Library Award. Created by Let’s Move in Libraries, this award celebrates community collaborators who partner with public libraries across the U.S. and Canada. This year’s winners were selected from a pool of 61 nominees. The Montclair Public Library Foundation nominated PFH for this award.

"Partnerships with anchor institutions like the Montclair Public Library are integral to the Foundation’s ability to meeting its mission. The Library is a true partner that cares for all community members who utilize their facilities and participate in their programs. We are proud to share this recognition with them,” said Pam Scott, Executive Director of Partners for Health.

SAVE the DATE!

On Thursday, September 10, 2025, Partners for Health and the Montclair Public Library will co-sponsor an Open Book/Open Mind conversation with Richard Rothstein and Leah Rothstein, co-authors of Just Action: How to Challenge Segregation Enacted Under the Color of Law.

Just Action is a follow up to The Color of Law, Richard Rothstein’s 2017 book that demolished the de facto segregation myth that black and white Americans live separately by choice, providing “the most forceful argument ever published on how federal, state, and local governments gave rise to the reinforced neighborhood segregation” (William Julius Wilson).

“It’s rare for a writer to feel obligated to be so clear on solutions to the problems outlined in a previous book,” writes E. J. Dionne, “yet Richard Rothstein — aware that twenty-first-century segregation continues to promote entrenched inequality — has done just that, teaming with housing policy expert Leah Rothstein to write Just Action, a blueprint for concerned citizens and community leaders.”
