Document Shredding, Drug Take Back, Electronics Recycling

Medina Police is hosting Shredder Day TOMORROW Saturday October 12th, 9am-noon at Medina Park (8301 NE 12th St). Document shredding is limited to one visit of five boxes. For more information, visit the event page or call Medina Police directly at (425) 233-6420.

Storm Season is Here

With the weather turning and winter approaching, the Town of Hunts Point will be working hard to keep roads clean, safe, and cleared in the coming months. If you have a storm drain or catch basin near your home, please be sure to monitor and use a rake or pitchfork to clear leaves, limbs, and debris from the area. Place leaves in your yard debris bin for easy removal and recycling. If you witness a problem on public property such as a potential tree fall, a hedge that restricts street visibility, fallen street signs, or clogged storm drains, please contact Town Hall. In the event of an emergency or large hazard such as a fallen traffic sign or downed tree blocking a roadway, please call 9-1-1. Help us keep Hunts Point safe by staying vigilant this storm season

Culvert Replacement Project: Thank You!

The Hunts Point Lane Culvert Replacement project is finally nearing completion. A huge "Thank You" to all those who have been impacted these last few months. We have sincerely appreciated the ongoing patience and understanding everyone has had for the duration of this project.

Construction and Commercial Vehicle Parking

The new construction and commercial vehicle parking code began to be enforced on Oct 2nd. As a reminder, commercial parking is only allowed directly along the right-of-way immediately in front of the residence being services. Construction parking is not allowed anywhere within the Town right-of-way.

Construction vehicle parking

  • is limited to within the boundary of privately owned property
  • not permitted anywhere within the town right-of-way or other town-owned property, including street pavement and paved or unpaved shoulders
  • “construction vehicle” is defined as any site development or construction-related vehicles and equipment, including personal vehicles operated by site development and construction-related workers

Commercial vehicle parking

  • is not allowed anywhere within the Town of Hunts Point outside of private parking or along the right-of-way immediately in front of the service residence
  • “commercial vehicle” refers to all vehicles not belonging to town residents or invited guests, that are used for commercial purposes, including but not limited to vehicles owned or operated by persons engaged in landscape maintenance, home maintenance, house cleaning, deliveries, or any other commercial purpose.

If adequate construction or commercial vehicle parking is not available, it is the responsibility of the property owner or the owner’s agent to make other arrangements. Violations will be enforced by the Medina Police and the Town Building Official through fines and Stop Work Orders.
