This autumn, the Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT) will mail the Fall/Winter 2024 Propane Living newsletter to marketer-subscribed propane consumers across Texas.

ProCOT invites you to subscribe your Texas propane customers to the biannual Propane Living newsletter, which includes seasonal propane reminders and more.

Distribution Options

1. ProCOT ships in bulk to your location with FREE SHIPPING you pass out at your office and on bobtail routes.
2. You provide your mailing list, and we mail the newsletters for you.

Cost to Participate. ProCOT covers the printing, postage, and shipping costs, making it affordable for propane providers. For 2024, participants are responsible for:

• A $40 fulfillment fee per season
• Less than 5 cents per address/newsletter to imprint your company name and customer’s address

There is also a FREE option. This service is FREE if there is no company imprint. We ship in bulk to your location, and no mailing is required.

The Propane Council of Texas’ Duty to Warn Safety Mailing Program is a service-based project that uses a Texas-specific comprehensive safety brochure with scratch n’ sniff. This brochure covers numerous important safety topics, including what to do if you smell gas, carbon monoxide safety, lighting pilots, appliance maintenance, and running out of gas.

2024-2025 Heating Season

The Texas Duty to Warn Safety Mailing Program is now open for the 2024-2025 heating season. The registration deadline is December 4, 2024, to ensure all mailings are sent out before the end of 2024.

Fees:

ProCOT covers the cost of brochures and postage when mailed through our program.

Texas propane retailers pay $38 per company registration and 9.5 cents per address, the same as last year.

Steps to Participate

1. Register Online: Texas propane retailers can use the online registration form to register.
2. Upload Mailing List: Complete the online registration form and upload your Texas propane customer mailing list. Do not email your lists. The mailing list must be in a spreadsheet with file extensions of .csv or .xlsx.
3. Registration Package: Once you register online, a registration package is automatically sent to a third-party mail house.
4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation once your registration is received.
5. Company Name Imprint: Your company name is ink-jetted onto the Texas safety mailer.
6. Mailing: The safety mailer is sent to your Texas customers within 30 days by non-profit bulk mail.
7. Postage Receipt and Affidavit: Once mailed and payment is received, you will receive a postage receipt and a notarized affidavit from the mail house confirming your mailing is complete.

The Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) has launched the Heat Pump Helper Personal Use Program (Pup).

Hydronic heat pump solutions like the Heat Pump Helper™ feature hybrid technology to bring the comfort of propane to newly installed or pre-existing heat pumps. Working with an existing thermostat, an air handler module communicates to a propane tankless water heater to circulate hot water through a hydronic coil that has been installed at the air handler. The result is improved efficiency, lower operating costs, and greater comfort for homeowners.

Propane industry professionals can trial this innovation in their own homes through a rebate program offered by the Propane Council of Texas (ProCOT). Follow these steps to participate:

1. Complete this linked HPS Interest Form to enter the rebate program.

2. Upon approval, fill out the 2024 Personal Use Program (PUP) Form and arrange payment for the equipment.

3. Attend a free, comprehensive online training session to ensure proper installation. Free training is only available for a limited time. Don't miss out.

4. After installation, complete the PERC Survey to provide feedback and get a $1,600 rebate.

All installations must be complete by December 31, 2024. No exceptions.
