Greetings RRMEA members!

 

Fall is here, and with it comes a chance to appreciate the hard work and dedication of our manufacturing community!!

 

We have an exciting RRMEA luncheon meeting at GPK Products in Fargo in two weeks! On October 22 please join us for lunch, a presentation by John Henning, Engineer at GPK Products, followed by a tour of their facility. Register now!

 

We also have a luncheon meeting at Spectrum Aeromed in Fargo coming up on November 19! This is a joint meeting with Tri-State Manufacturers Association. The speaker is Jeff Edberg, VP of Operations, but I would advise you to register right away because it will fill up fast!.. Read more.

Celebrate in October

Minnesota Manufacturing Month and Statewide Tour of Manufacturing


To celebrate, manufacturing facilities throughout the state are opening their doors for tours. Manufacturers can offer in-person or virtual tours; reach out to local schools and offer presentations about manufacturing career pathways; sponsor school’s VEX Robotics programs; or set up scholarships with local colleges.

September RRMEA meeting

We had a great RRMEA meeting on September 17!

 

Shout out to Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce for hosting the meeting and providing lunch! It was much appreciated!

Welcome Lynda Bailey, New Executive Director

MMA is pleased to introduce Lynda E. Bailey as the new Executive Director. Lynda joins us following her tenure as Executive Director of the Riverside Medical Clinic Charitable Foundation in Riverside, California. Read more.

Board Bio - Jane Vangsness Frisch, Ph.D.

Jane Vangsness Frisch, VP of Workforce at the FMWF Chamber of Commerce, leads efforts to strengthen workforce development and expand community programs throughout the region. 


Previously, she was as an independent consultant and held roles at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) including VP for Student Affairs and Strategy, Assistant VP for Student Success, and Director of Student Success and Career Services.


Before joining NDSCS, Frisch held various student- and research-focused positions at the North Dakota University System and has been an affiliate graduate faculty member at North Dakota State University since 2016.


Dedicated to community service, Frisch serves as a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission and as a board member for Ortonville Area Health Services and the Sanford Health Network. She previously served on the boards of the West Central Initiative, the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center of Fargo-Moorhead, and the North Dakota Women in Higher Education Network.


Frisch holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mass communication, and a Ph.D. in Education, all from NDSU.
