Fall 2025

Art History: Mill Town to Creative District

A new exhibit opening September 20 at the Edmonds Historical Museum traces the story of Edmonds, from its founding years through today, as an arts and culture hub. Look for special events held on Fridays, Saturdays and other dates throughout the run of the exhibit. For information, go to https://historicedmonds.org/

Cultural Access update

This past summer the EAC and staff proposed to City Council it enact a state program supporting the arts, culture, heritage and science/environment programs in Edmonds (RCW 36.160). City Council held a Public Hearing on August 19 and will discuss the program at its September 9 meeting.

The proposed program is funded by a .1% increase in sales tax to support qualified nonprofit organizations in the arts, culture, heritage and sciences, with a particular focus on access to educational programs for public school students.

The opportunity to send your comments to City Council is still open regarding enacting a Cultural Access program in Edmonds, or any issue concerning the City. To email City Council, go to the Council's Contact webpage. For information about the program, go to the Cultural Access page.
