Letter from the MDMA President

Hello everyone! We’re excited to welcome you all back after what we hope was a somewhat relaxing summer for all of you! As you all know, the Minn-Dak Manufacturers Association takes a break from tours over the summer as we know everyone is busy, but the association board has been busy planning for new activities for the 2025-2026 membership year, and we’re excited to share some of those updates with you!

First, we start up our tour schedule again with a visit to Bobcat’s manufacturing facilities in Gwinner on September 16^th. It’s an impressive operation, and we’re excited to get a first hand look at their facility.... Read more.

9:00 - 11:30 am • Gwinner, ND

Bobcat Company is a member of the Doosan Group. Doosan is a global leader in construction, grounds maintenance and material handling equipment, power and water solutions, and engineering that has proudly served customers and communities for more than a century. The Gwinner factory complex was the first Bobcat facility, established in 1947. Gwinner manufactures Bobcat loaders, utility work machines and attachments. Tour will be limited to 40 people with preference given to manufacturers over service providers. More Info.

Celebrate in October

Minnesota Manufacturing Month and Statewide Tour of Manufacturing

To celebrate, manufacturing facilities throughout the state are opening their doors for tours. Manufacturers can offer in-person or virtual tours; reach out to local schools and offer presentations about manufacturing career pathways; sponsor school’s VEX Robotics programs; or set up scholarships with local colleges.

Tharaldson Ethanol Plant

Tuesday, October 21

3:00pm-4:30pm

Tharaldson Ethanol is located just West of Casselton, ND, an area known for its rich farming tradition. Tharaldson Ethanol provides a much-needed local market for area corn growers, requiring about 60 million bushels of corn annually, which will in turn produce 170 million gallons of ethanol and about 450,000 tons of dried distiller’s grain each year.

The state-of-the-art facility has the latest, most innovative and energy efficient technology in the marketplace.
