Safe Routes to School

Fall 2025 Newsletter

Happy fall, y’all! We hope you and your family had a fun-filled summer and are enjoying the start of the school year.

Check out where we hosted our summer camp bicycle rodeos, expanding youth bicycle safety education across the region, below!

The summer bicycle rodeo series reached over 200 children across three counties and six events!

Nearly half of the children who participated in our programming received a free helmet thanks to our award from the NCDOT Bicycle Helmet Initiative grant, including three lucky winners of our bicycle giveaway.

A huge shoutout to our partners at Efland Cheeks Community Center, the Boys and Girls Club of Central Carolina, Chatham County Parks & Recreation, and City of Sanford Parks & Rec for hosting our programming. We also couldn’t have pulled off our most recent event without the support of the Back to Dirt Bike Shop & Conservancy!
