Read to a Child's 12th Annual Gala
Some of our guests having a great time in the photo booth!

On Thursday, November 6th, Read to a Child held its 12th Annual Gala at the Boston Common Hotel. We are proud to announce that it was the most successful gala to date! The event sold out and raised in $115,000!

The night consisted of an expansive silent auction with more than three dozen packages, a fun photo-booth, and an exciting live auction! Read to a Child would like to thank everyone who came and supported the event - including our wonderful sponsors: Agero, ArcLight Capital, Staples, BNY Mellon, CVS, Cabot Corporation, Pitney Bowes, Eaton Vance, Anderson Robbins Research, Blackbaud and EMD Millipore.

"Give Me $5" Hits (and Exceeds!) $50,000 Goal!

This August marked Read to a Child's first "Give Me $5!" Digital Campaign. Thanks to all of our champions, committed Board Members and volunteers who raised over $51,000!

Reading Pair Spotlight

Anthony and his reading mentor, Joanna, have grown quite close this year. Anthony said he didn't care which book he read as long as Joanna read it to him because he just enjoys her company!

While reading "Hide" by Jeff Foxworthy, he said "it was fun to try and find the hidden pictures with Joanna!" Joanna said reading to Anthony is so much fun and something she looks forward to each week.

The two of them are looking forward to the "Reading on the Lawn" activity planned to celebrate Literacy Week next week!
