El Camino Real District Pinewood Derby


Calling all Cub Scouts the El Camino Real District is hosting a Pinewood Derby for all! Bring your car and get ready to race. All racers must be between kindergarten- 5th grade. Bring a friend and a spare car to introduce them to the fun of Cub Scouting!

Registration for Golden Nugget Sessions 1 & 2 is still open! A weekend of legendary fun on Catalina Island filled with many advancement opportunities that are designed exclusively for Webelos! Earn your golden nuggets (Webelos advancement pins) and get ready to take an adventure that will prepare them to cross over to Scouts BSA programs offered at Camp Cherry Valley. El Camino Real Scout Expo & Family Picnic at Santa Fe Dam

Come join us for a day outdoors to enjoy Scouting at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area! The El Camino Real District is welcoming all Scouts to join the fun! There will activity booths, fun and games, and the opportunity to meet and reconnect with Scouts in other Units. We are also working on an optional overnight camp so Scouts can get in a night of camping to help with any requirements.

New Staff Alert!


We are excited to announce that the Greater LA Scouting Staff is growing! We have 3 new staff members and a new job opportunity available. 

Marissa Stanley and Cameron Summers have taken on the roles of Unit Coordinators. Marissa will be serving the San Gabriel Valley District and Cameron will be serving the Pio Pico District. Benjamin Rose will also be joining the Field Team as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

David Whitesel was encouraged to join Scouting and in 1952 traveled from the family farm on the Indiana-Ohio border to Southern California for the National Jamboree.  These two events positively impacted him his entire life and the lives of his son and grandson.
