Wellness Wednesday: Wellness for Kids!
On October 8, families and kids can find a little inspiration, creative expression, and a peaceful way to connect with others and the outdoors. The Jana Marie Foundation will lead kids through crafts and activities that focus on finding connections with others and showing how empathy can help us build stronger communities. RSVP soon, and join us for a delightful evening of discovering how we are all "Woven Together". We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes early so that we can get started right at 6:00 p.m. The program will end at 8:00 p.m., but we understand if you and your child need to leave earlier to keep your weeknight routine!
We hope you are able to find time to get outdoors, no matter what activity you choose. The cold of winter will be here before we know it - take time to appreciate the beauty and comfort of autumn while it's here!
Stay safe, stay flexible, and keep adventuring!

This past week, Centred Outdoors participants had the chance to connect with nature through two lovely experiences. On Sunday, our Fall Adventure Hike led participants through 6.85 miles of rugged beauty along Rothrock State Forest’s Lonberger Path. The trail challenged hikers while rewarding them with views of Eastern hemlock and white pine forests.
Midweek, Wellness Wednesday offered a grounding counterbalance with an outdoor Qigong and Mindfulness session guided by Stephanie Koller, a certified yoga and Qigong instructor, Pennsylvania Forest Steward, and Master Naturalist. Participants enjoyed gentle movements, breath work, a beautiful sunset, warming bonfire, and the restorative benefits of practicing in the fresh evening air.
Together, both programs highlight the many ways to experience the physical and mental health benefits of time outdoors.
