John Grogan Author of Marley & Me , The Longest Trip Home, and a wonderful series of children's books Wednesday, September 18 at 7pm John Grogan is the author of the #1 international bestseller  Marley & Me: Life and love with the world's worst dog , which has sold six million copies in more than 30 languages worldwide and was made into a major motion picture starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. Bruce Mowday Author of Stealing Wyeth Thursday, October 24 at 7pm Stealing Wyeth  is the new true crime book about the theft of 15 paintings from the estate of Andrew Wyeth. Most of the paintings were done by Andrew and his son Jamie. The book tells the story of local criminals, a master cat burglar, gamblers and murderers and how law enforcement secured the paintings and brought the criminals to justice.  Bruce E. Mowday is an award winning author and newspaper reporter. He has authored more than 16 books on history, sports, business and true crime. Brooke Blades Author of The Americans on D-Day and in Normandy: Rare Photographs from Wartime Archives Thursday, December 5 at 7pm The Americans on D-Day and in Normandy: Rare Photographs from Wartime Archives is an excellent introduction to D-Day using photographs and maps from WWII along with some contemporary photos that show how landscapes and street scenes have or have not changed over the decades since Operation Overlord, the code name of the invasion. Dr. Brooke Blades is an archaeologist and historian whose research has included examinations of sites form Second World War in France, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. An interest in Normandy first emerged during a visit in 1986 and has expanded greatly beyond an initial focus on documenting the landscape of Omaha Beach. He has a sequel to the first title coming this Fall: The Americans from Normandy to the German Border: August to mid-December 1944.
