YOU'RE REGISTERED - WHAT'S NEXT?

"WHEN WILL I BE CONTACTED?"

The "kick-off" Fall Ball coaches meeting will be held August 3rd and rosters for 7U (Coach-Pitch) leagues and older will be distributed. Players will be notified by their coaches as follows:

Coach-Pitch and older leagues: by August 7
Tee-Ball league: by August 14

Coaches will provide contact and first practice information to all parents & players.

"WHEN DO PRACTICES & GAMES START?"

PRACTICES begin:

- Coach-Pitch & older: week of August 5

- Tee-Ball: week of August 12

GAMES begin:

- Coach-Pitch & older: August 24

- Tee-Ball: September 4

Game schedules will be posted on our website in mid-August. Please note, due to the brevity of the season and availability of daylight, games will be scheduled on Labor Day weekend, but NOT the Monday holiday (9/2/24).

PHOTO DAY

August 17th

All teams and individual players are encouraged to take part in WYBSL's Photo Day on Saturday, August 17th, at your practice fields. Please plan to attend even if you don't wish to purchase a photo - your teammates would like a picture of the whole team as a remembrance!

Coaches will share photo order forms at your first practice.

In case of questionable weather, please call the weather hotline and remember - we can take pictures even if fields are unplayable. If postponed, photos will be taken on August 24th.

WEATHER / SCHEDULE UPDATES

The league uses a Weather Hotline (614-523-6220) and Twitter (@WYBSLalerts) for game and special event (i.e. Photo Day) scheduling updates. Updates are posted at 4PM on weeknights, 8AM on Saturdays and 11AM on Sundays.

Please know that sometimes schedules must be changed due to reasons other than weather and we recommend you check for updates before every game.

The league does NOT update practice schedule status. It is up to coaches to follow field and weather policies appropriately.

PARKING & PEDESTRIAN RESPONSIBLITY

The WYBSL works closely with the Parks & Recreation Department to provide some of the best fields in Central Ohio. Parents and players should all exercise proper responsibility, safety and respect of all applicable traffic laws AND NEIGHBORING PROPERTIES.

Please:

Park only where legally allowed on city streets (e.g. Towers Park - one side only on Lakeland Drive)
Park only in designated "turf parking" areas at Towers Park - do not park beyond traffic cones.
Do not park along the Huber Village Drive; critical for emergency vehicle access
Walk only on park sidewalks to access parks from neighboring streets
Stay out of neighboring properties; particularly at Huber Village and Towers Parks.
