ESF Students to Enjoy Fall Break in 2023

ESF President Joanie Mahoney announced today the inclusion of a four-day October break for the 2023/24 academic year.


The break – Oct. 9 and 10, scheduled for Indigenous People’s Day and the following Tuesday – will allow students a mental health break mid-semester. It also aligns with Syracuse University’s academic calendar, which ESF follows.

TODAY: Two Great Groups Join Forces to Create a Sustainable Future

Next year, the Mighty Oaks Student Assembly’s (MOSA) SustainabiliTEAM and Green Campus Initiative (GCI) will be combining forces to create a new organization. If you are passionate about sustainability and interested in what you can do on campus, check them out at their organizational meeting!

 

During the meeting, they will finalize what this new group will look like, and they are looking for more student input. Organizers are also hoping to find their new executive board. If you would like to be among the next group of student sustainability leaders, be sure to attend.

Spring Robin Hood Oak Awards Nominations Open

Nominations are being accepted for the Spring Robin Hood Oak awards. These awards are given to May graduating seniors (undergrads) in several categories. If you serve as a club advisor or work closely with a student that you think demonstrates the awards’ qualities, please nominate them. In May, we also have awards for faculty, staff, and academic advisors and encourage you to nominate your deserving colleagues.
