Waiting For God: A Lesson from Hagar & Ishmael
Whether it's a friendship, romance, job, or our faith, waiting can be HARD. Abraham and Sarah certainly felt this while they were waiting on God to fulfill His promise to give them an heir. And their impatience led them to make a decision that brought real consequences. But it also gave us a glimpse of God's amazing grace.

This Sunday, we're studying this important part of their journey and how we can apply it to the season we're journeying through.
Fall Break Food Bins! Pick One Up and Help a Sumner County Family
We're a month away from Sumner County Schools Fall Break, and that means it's time for our Fall Break Food Bin outreach program. This initiative aims to provide meals to Sumner County students and their families who are food insecure. If you'd like to help, pick up a bin this weekend before or after service. A packing list of what to include will be available for pickup, or you can download a copy here.
Project Transformation Needs Our Help
Project Transformation (PT) is in need of volunteers. They currently have two key needs: families who want to provide dinner for their young adult fellows and homework buddy volunteers.

For the first, PT young adult fellows enjoy a community dinner with their volunteers every Sunday at 6pm, at Scarritt Bennett Center. Restaurant dinners are also welcome. To learn more or volunteer for this need, click here.

Homework Buddy volunteers are also needed to help elementary aged students, Monday - Thursday, from 4 - 5:15pm, at the PT after school program sites. To learn more or sign up to volunteer the Antioch site, click here. To learn more or sign up to volunteer at the Madison site, click here.
