Fall Course Request Period Opens
Fall course requests may be submitted Monday, July 27, through Friday, August 7.  Please note: There's no rush to submit your requests.  All course requests received by Friday, August 7, will be entered into the lottery at the same time. There is no advantage to submitting your requests earlier than someone else.

The fall catalog is now available online ( click here ), and catalogs were mailed to members' homes last week (one per household). If you would like another catalog, please email or call the OLLI office.

Click here to submit your course requests or submit them through the office by emailing [email protected] or calling 541-552-6048. If you have not yet renewed or joined for the year, you'll need to take care of that when you submit your lottery form.

Are you new to OLLI and want more information about how to register? Or maybe you are a returning member who needs a refresher?  Click here  to visit our How to Register webpage for more information.
COVID-19 update
OLLI Council Announcement for Winter Term
After consultation with SOU administration and careful consideration of all factors, OLLI Council has concluded that our best course is to continue with OLLI2U online curriculum through Winter term. Given the increasing cases of the virus in Jackson County and Oregon, the unavailability of a vaccine, the logistics to hold in person classes given state restrictions and requirements, and our commitment to the health and well being of our members, instructors, and staff, we will continue with online only classes until the COVID-19 situation improves.

As the offerings in the Fall 2020 Course Catalog show, there has been no diminishment in the quality of our curriculum. We are taking steps to ensure that rewarding connections are built into the Zoom delivery method through class discussions, pre/post class chat time, shared interest groups and other activities.
OLLI Office Support Available
Office Support Available by Phone and Email
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency, the OLLI offices (Ashland and Medford) remain closed. Like nearly all SOU employees and faculty, all OLLI staff are working from home until further notice. But the good news is that help is still readily available by phone and email. OLLI staff are standing by to provide remote assistance. Email   [email protected]   or call 541-552-6048 for help with all of your OLLI needs.
Zoom Help for OLLI Members
To help OLLI members get ready for Fall term's online courses, OLLI has created a new webpage with lots of useful information about Zoom, the videoconferencing program that many instructors will be using to teach their Fall term classes.

Please click here to visit the Zoom Help webpage:  https://inside.sou.edu/olli/courses/zoom-for-students.html

Special thanks to OLLI volunteer and instructor Barb Barasa, a retired webmaster (among many other skills and talents she has), for creating this webpage for OLLI members.
Winter Course Proposals Welcomed August 1–31
Do you have a skill or passion to share? Have you considered teaching at OLLI? Instructors say OLLI members make the best students because they are so interested and engaged in learning. Topics are as varied as OLLI members' backgrounds and interests, and Curriculum Committee volunteers are available to meet with potential instructors who would like to discuss a concept or get help with a proposal. Click here to learn more or submit a proposal for winter term.
