Fun things happening with Cheer
Flag games

Our little flag cheerleaders are having a great season cheering for the flag football games every Saturday morning at the GV Middle School. They are learning all the basics of cheerleading such as cheers, dances, thigh stands and more.
Practices at Grand Slam

Our cheer practices at Grand Slam have been so great for the cheer program this year. With over 60 cheerleaders, it gives everyone a chance to be together in once place. Whether it be performing for each other, learning our routine, practicing cheers and dances or just playing games, the cheerleaders are making great memories, strengthening their skills and forming friendships.
GVFL Games

We had another rainy day for the last set of GVFL games, which was also pink out day. There are some cheerleaders who love to cheer in the rain to support the team. Sometimes rainy games are also fun!
Steps4Hope

The cheerleaders were grateful to be invited to cheer on the runners and walkers at the Steps4Hope event. They made up new cheers to help cheer for everyone involved.
GVHS Be a Mini Cheerleader Night
Our cheerleaders once again joined the high school team for their annual Be a Mini Cheerleader night. They loved spending time on the sidelines with their mentor cheerleader and also had a great time at the clinic before the game.
GVBL Winter League 2022-23
Skills Assessments for GVBL Winter League begin 10/17

All players in grades 1-8, new or returning, must attend a skills assessment session in mid-October to help GVBL ensure fair & balanced teams. Each division focuses on appropriate age level skills to help the athletes improve while showing good sportsmanship.

The Phelps School is located at 583 Sugartown Rd., Malvern.
Registration for GVBL Winter Rec League is now open. This will be our 22nd year of bringing the GV community this outstanding youth basketball program. 500+ kids have already registered - don't miss out!

Once again due to the limited amount of gym space, the GVBL Winter Rec League will be open to ONLY GVSD residents with limited spots per division.
2022-23 GVBL Shirt Sponsorship Program

Shirt sponsorship is a great way to help provide much-needed support to our programming and promote our business partners. This annual campaign asks local businesses and those from the corporate community for sponsorship to support the Great Valley Basketball League (GVBL).

The program includes the business or corporate sponsor name featured on the jerseys of one of our 75+ youth basketball teams, along with multiple "touch points" throughout the season on our numerous GVCO communiqués (website, newsletters, updates, social media, etc.).

This winter, GVBL expects to have over 650 families and 900 children ages 4 through 18 participating in our program. Complete and return the required shirt sponsorship form by October 24th.
