Commute Rail Service is BACK on the North Shore 

As of August 14th, the MBTA and Keolis have completed a number of safety and performance improvement projects on the Newburyport/Rockport Commuter Rail lines, resulting in a return to fully operating service between Salem and Newburyport/Rockport.  Learn more

What's New With NuRide: Fall Improvements
NuRide, the statewide commuter options & rewards program, has introduced some exciting improvements to their  new mobile app to make planning & tracking your green commute even easier. As of July, new features include:
  • "Trip Syncing" option to connect fitness apps like Strava, MapMyWalk and MapMyRide
  • Connect to your Lyft account to  automatically record your Lyft Line ride sharing trips recorded (NuRide hopes to enable UberPOOL as well)
  • Option to get a Lyft Line or UberPOOL when finding rides in NuRide.
  • Ability to view "actively tracked" trips like Strava, Lyft Line, and Under Armour separately from manually recorded trips

Stay Informed - Road Construction Resources
It's fall and the road construction season remains in full swing.  Stay abreast of major construction projects in our area and throughout the greater Boston region that can impact your commute.

Salem - Canal Street Roadway Improvement Project. This  project will provide a new gateway to the City of Salem while improving safety for vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles. It will also provide streetscape improvements including new trees lining the street, stamped colored pedestrian crossings, and curb extensions at crosswalks. Keep informed! 

Beverly - Route 1A/Rantoul Street Reconstruction. 
This project will re-design the corridor to allow for access for vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians.  The project will improve drainage, traffic signals, and rail crossings.   Learn more about this important project.
