September 9, 2021

This event will feature each Chef preparing 2-3 delicious bites for your enjoyment, as well as an array of beverage samples.
The forests of Appalachia can host an incredible diversity of delicious foods, making our region ideal for the practice of forest farming--a sustainable production system which helps keep a forest healthy by introducing more biodiversity. This practice introduces cultivated crops into forest settings by integrating trees and shrubs, offering up inventive ingredients to the food system while also offering environmental, economic and social benefits.

September 17, 2021

Downtown After Five provides free live outdoor music concerts in downtown Asheville every third Friday 5-9 PM from July through September. They celebrate their 33rd year in 2021. Thousands gather on North Lexington Avenue near the I-240 overpass to enjoy local and national beers and a variety of food vendors. While admission is free, you must buy a $2 wristband to purchase beer, hard cider and wine. Asheville All Stars: The All Stars show has quickly become a favorite of the season, featuring some of AVL’s best artists making music together.

September 18-19, 2021

Choose from approximately 20 WNC family farms to visit over two days. Experience the sights, tastes, and stories of farm life through guided tours, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. Participating farms showcase the diversity of farming in the region, from berries to livestock, vineyards to creameries, fiber to flowers.
