EDUCATION

Late Fall Afterschool Registration Now Open!

November & December; Grades K-5

Sun setting early? It's a great excuse for a campfire! We will make the most of sweater-weather by doing seasonal crafts and cooking projects (ever made a gingerbread house for a chicken??), getting the garden and animals ready for winter, and making sure we get plenty of rabbit snuggles.

Pumpkin Painting on the Farm
October 16, 2:30-4:30

Swing by the Education Barn between 2:30–4:30pm on Friday, October 16 for family friendly pumpkin painting! Grown-ups accompany kids as they create their own fall masterpiece.

• $20 includes one pumpkin and painting supplies
• $10 for each additional pumpkin
• Pre-registration encouraged; drop-ins welcome as space allows

Fall Bounty at the Farmstand!

Come savor some of fall’s finest: delicata, and spaghetti squash, crisp peppers, vibrant chard, cauliflower, apples, apple cider, and so much more. Pick up a sweet treat, like cider or pumpkin doughnuts from Blackbird Doughnuts, or some flavored caramel from Fat Toad Farm. We also have a variety of pumpkins, mums, and gourds for your Fall decorating!

Compost your Pumpkins!

Don't throw your pumpkins out with the trash! Please consider dropping them into one of our compost bins (keep an eye out for them, they'll be arriving soon!). Our farm crew is grateful for these additions to our compost pile! Compost is an important part of regenerating our soil. Carved pumpkins welcome, however nothing with paint or stickers, as they are not compost friendly. Thank you!

Two new roles are now available at Land's Sake Farm! As a Land's Sake Crew Member, you'll be involved in a variety of departments around the farm. As a Community Engagement and Volunteer Manager, you will build and lead a volunteer program that reliably supports the farm's real labor needs. Learn more and apply today!
