Interview with Nic O'Neill, founder of Fortuna Found
Fortuna Found is the brain child of Nic O'Neill. It is a place to create, play, and fly kites, and a way to foster an environment for others to do the same.
In this interview Nic talks about building and flying kites--they are the perfect activity for this physically distanced time. Not only will you be outside doing a healthy, fun activity, you'll also learn about wind currents, balance, and more.
This website is a free resource to learn more about various aspects of kites, kite design, kite making, flying, and more, and it's a community for all. There is something for everyone!

OVL Virtual Cookbook Group |

Did you know that the Osterville Village Library has a virtual cookbook group? For more information click here.
Join us for our November 4th meeting. We will be cooking and discussing Around My French Table: More than 300 Recipes from My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan.
Email us: [email protected] to reserve a copy of the cookbook of the month and Zoom link/password for the meeting.

Come check out a pumpkin from the library, carve or decorate your pumpkin at home (any way you'd like) and return it to us by October 24th. Voting will take place October 24th-29th. You'll be able to take your pumpkin home on October 30th, and winners will be announced on October 31st.
Ribbons will be awarded for funniest, spookiest, storybook/literary, and most BOO-tiful!
Limit of one pumpkin checkout per family, but feel free to purchase your own pumpkin(s) to submit. Supplies are limited so call 508-428-5757, email [email protected], or stop by to reserve a pumpkin before they're gone!

Come Make a Card for a Veteran |

The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces is asking you to help create cards to celebrate veterans in our community for Veterans Day!
We will be collecting these cards until October 31 and distributing them on Veterans Day, November 11. Please drop by our station to make one and show your support!
Please include statements of gratitude, words of encouragement, drawings, colors, quotes, and your name and town. Cards can be submitted in person to the OVL or mailed to Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces, 101 Station Landing, Suite 510, Medford, MA 02155.
