Dear Grace, 

With the changing seasons, I’m thanking God for our playground of pumpkin joy and how it’s spotlighting joy known in community—check out this video to see how 50+ neighbors transformed our campus last weekend! 

Let’s keep the joy and love toward our neighbors flowing at this Saturday’s Fall Festival! We have all kinds of ways you can serve! There’s coffee and donuts for you who cheer on our Heights Fun Runners 7-8:30am! A crew will set up 8:30-10am and all hands on deck 10am-1pm! We’ll need folks to help tear down 1-2pm, too. Please email Kari (kari.malaysia@mac.com) with how you can help.

And mark your calendars for a brief (15-20 min) Town Hall meeting on Sunday, October 26th immediately following worship in the sanctuary. I’m eager to share with you what I heard through our listening sessions and how I’m sensing the Holy Spirit calling us in this season of ministry. I’ll have some questions for us to discern about next steps. In the meantime, our Treasurer Mary Ann Young shared an exciting financial update with us Sunday—

• Grace’s 2025 budget—covering all ministries of the church including our weekday school—is nearly $1.2 million
• We're on track with income and expenses! Praise God and thank YOU!
• As of 8/31/25, we need $40K to close the gap by year end—please pray about how you will stretch to give in supporting God’s ministry through Grace. 
• Please submit your pledged giving for 2026—this helps us plan wisely. You can submit it online here or bring your card to the office M-F 9am-5pm or to Sunday’s worship service.

Friends, this is a season of joy—God’s joy that we experience together in generous community! I challenged us Sunday to see our pumpkins as seeds we’re sowing in the neighborhood. Every single pumpkin you see out there in the neighborhood, I invite you to believe that they are ours! So that they—the people who purchase the pumpkins—are ours. Our neighbors to serve, know, and love. That’s how we share and multiply God’s grace and joy!
