Charging Forward
You know where you are - Charger Nation! - and we are happy to be back for the 2021-2022 school year.

Charging Forward is Bullitt East's school newsletter where we can update you on East High information, as well as the the successes of our students and the creative teaching methods our teachers are coming up with. This newsletter is bi-weekly, rotating with the district’s.

If you are a family that does not yet have children at Bullitt East, you may wonder why you're receiving this. Since your students will someday be part of the BE community, we wanted to be sure you know about all the great things happening here. In addition, we will be sharing stories periodically from the elementary and middle schools – so be sure to stay on our list.

We urge you to forward this newsletter to any friends you think might be interested in receiving it — our success is your success, and we want to share it with everyone.

Thank you for your support of our school. Enjoy Charging Forward!

Fall Festivities
Fall Choir Concert a musical success
This past Monday night, the Bullitt East choirs performed their Fall Concert! The concert was held at Saint Francis Xavier Church and featured the Advanced and Concert Choirs. The Advanced Choir is an auditioned group with fourteen students and the Concert Choir is for all students, with thirty-five students participating. Both groups are open to freshmen through seniors.

Halloween in the Halls
Bullitt East was excited to welcome Halloween in the Halls back to our school! This is the first time our typically annual event has graced our halls since the pandemic began. We had student and staff volunteers decorating each hallway with their independent themes, and several hundred kids came through for a fun, spooky time collecting candy.

BCPS students explore the "7 Ways" engineering process
Bullitt County Public Schools is continuing its partnership with GE Appliances (GEA) and their Director of Engineering Development, Mr. Mike Ekbundit.

JCTC dual credit opportunities for students
On Thursday, October 21, BCPS high school counselors met downtown to tour Jefferson Community and Technical College’s (JCTC) Advanced Manufacturing and Information Technology (AMIT) Center.

The BCPS Key Process team related to Communications and Public Relations would like to gather your feedback on our district and school communication efforts. Our team wants to ensure that we are providing you with the information you need, when and how you need it. The goal of this ThoughtExchange is to focus on our communication methods and strategies both from a district and school level.
Keep up with us!
