Have any bulky items that you're looking to get rid of? We encourage you to take your unwanted furniture, rugs, mattresses, televisions, printers and appliances to our Bulky Item/Electronic Waste Clean-up this Saturday, October 26 at 917 East Grand Avenue from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

We also encourage you to take your unwanted prescription drugs to our Drug Take Back event this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the San Gabriel Police Department located at 625 South Del Mar Avenue.

Fall Fun Festival to be held this Friday
Join us for the Fall Fun Festival this Friday, October 25 in the Mission District from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. We'll have a haunted zone, costume contests, food trucks and more! The Mission Playhouse will also host a free screening of "Hocus Pocus" at 9:15 p.m.

Experience Johnny Cash Americana music concert
Experience an exciting Johnny Cash Americana music concert with Michael J. on Saturday, November 2 beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the San Gabriel Library. Michael has toured the United States, Europe, and Israel and his program showcases a unique panorama of American life including songs about the American West, plus fun Johnny Cash and June Carter duets like “Jackson.”
 
Seats are first come first served, and there will be refreshments. Please join the San Gabriel Library for this free concert as Michael goes behind the music and myth of the “Man in Black”.
Bulky item drop-off this Saturday
Take your bulky items (including furniture, rugs, mattresses and appliances) and electronic waste (such as televisions, printers, computers, power cords and other electronic devices) to our Bulky Item & Electronic Waste Community Clean-up on October 26 at our Public Works yard at 917 East Grand Avenue.

Please note that hazardous material will not be accepted.
Drug take back event this Saturday
The San Gabriel Police Department is holding a prescription drug take-back day on October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the station located at 625 South Del Mar Avenue. Residents are encouraged to bring expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for proper disposal.

The service is free and anonymous - no questions asked.
Dia de Los Muertos to be held November 1
We'll be hosting our second annual Dia de los Muertos Festival on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the historic Mission District.

The festival will include artists, vendors, crafts for kids, face painting, live entertainment and food trucks. Admission is free and open to the general public. The event will begin with a community procession beginning at Plaza Park at 428 South Mission Drive leading to the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse Plaza.
