Get ready for cooler weather

October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month!!!

Nearly all of our country programs have children with Down syndrome available for adoption, but some programs more than others. Bulgaria is a great option for families open to adopting a child with Down syndrome. Families willing to submit a Dossier and await a direct referral from the Central Authority are matched with children of any age, and as young as 1 year old. Please read more about the specific process to adopt a child with Down syndrome from Bulgaria here. Or email Catherine today to learn more!

Meet Our Shining Star, MAE

We have some heartwarming updates about Mae, our little warrior who has cerebral palsy (CP). She's currently at FANA, where dedicated therapists are helping her make incredible progress as she waits for her forever family. The next big milestone? Helping Mae take her first steps!

To make this dream a reality, we're in the process of securing a specialized "trainer" for her. The equipment is costly, with estimates exceeding $2,500. We have reached $650 in donations so far, let's keep it going! We've seen the power of community before when you helped us with the wheelchairs. Can we count on you again?

Help Mae take her first step!

Brittany's Hope grant available!

Attention waiting families!! We are proud to partner with Brittany’s Hope, a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to aiding and facilitating adoptions of children with special needs from around the world. Brittany’s Hope recognizes the fundamental rights of all children. They empower families and communities to make real and lasting change in the lives of orphaned and at-risk children through international special needs adoption grants and humanitarian initiatives. We are honored to call them our partner! In partnership with Brittany’s Hope, we are currently accepting grant applications from families with pre-approval for a specific child. The Brittany’s Hope grant is a bit unique in that it is a ‘pay it forward’ grant. Grant recipients are required to raise at least half of the grant amount, in Brittany’s name, prior to receiving the grant from Brittany’s Hope. For example, if you are awarded a $7,000 grant, you would need to fundraise $3,500, submit it to BH, and then you would be awarded the $7,000 grant. We review applications on a rolling basis, and will let you know of a decision within a day or two of application receipt. Please email Sarah Hansen for more information!
