We're enjoying sunny days and cool nights on Dog Mountain. Good sleeping weather, as we say here in the North East Kingdom! The apples are falling from the trees, and there are still lots of berries to be picked, so be sure to bring containers when you visit. The gallery doors are wide open to let the cool breezes blow through. Such a delightful time of year!

A special thank you to Rolf and Ken of House Woof Dog Biscuits for stopping by and donating six folding chairs and a group of hosta plants to be placed on the grounds in memory of their beloved dogs, Sasha, Dakota, and Kayak.


They'll be unveiling their new organic dog biscuit made exclusively for Dog Mountain at the upcoming Fall Dog Party on October 8th!  

Back to School

Hard to believe that school is already back in session. We have lots of great Stephen Huneck books for young students who are honing their reading skills! 


For college students, we have wonderful Stephen Huneck Card packs for keeping in touch the old-fashioned way. (People still do that, right?)


The Fan Favorites Assorted Card Pack is especially, well...a fan favorite! And a great gift!

As many of you know, Dog Parties are a wonderful part of the Dog Mountain tradition, and our small staff can always use a helping hand. If you'd like to volunteer for an hour or two at our upcoming Fall Dog Party please fill out our volunteer form.

Fall Dog Party!!!

We are SO excited about our Fall Fest Dog Party set for Saturday October 8th, noon to 4pm!

Here is some of what you can expect....

Food:  Farm to Fire Pizza! Farm to Fire is bringing their wood-fired pizza oven to Dog Mountain for the day.


Cooked right in front of you, this pizza feeds your soul.

Fun:  Bounce house, Art activities & Lawn Games!

Entertainment: Live music with Vermont's own Colin McCaffrey

Singer, songwriter and lover of strings, Colin plays roots music, swing, blues, and country. His solo albums are original bluegrass, folk, jazz, and old standards from the American songbook.

Vermont Maple Sugar Guru Chris Parker will be joining us again for Sugar on Snow!

Dog Contests: And, of course, what Dog Party would be complete without our famous Dog Contests MC'd by Tiger and Sheila!
