Dear Penn-Delco Community,
The start of a school year often sets the tone for what’s ahead, and the initial months of the 2025-2026 school year have been a positive reflection of what makes Penn-Delco special: unity and community.
Penn-Delco employees remain unified around our mission to deliver an outstanding education that truly prepares students to be Ready for Life. The atmosphere, tone, and vibe in our schools can best be described as productive, fun, and optimistic. Outside the classroom, the Penn-Delco community continues to shine. With the strong support of our PTLs, PTOs, and families, we’ve seen impressive turnout at school and district events to start the year. Perhaps nowhere was that spirit more evident than at this year’s Sun Valley Homecoming Parade, which reflected one of the highest levels of participation and attendance in recent years.
The energy, pride, and sense of unity we’ve witnessed across the district reflect a community deeply committed to bringing its best every day, keeping the well-being of students our highest priority. Our entire staff is grateful for that support - it truly makes a difference. Recent recognitions, such as Parkside Elementary’s PA Blue Ribbon School distinction, Northley’s upcoming Schools to Watch visit, and U.S. News & World Report's recognition for Sun Valley, affirm that hard work and dedication can indeed win the day.
November moves quickly in schools, filled with in-service days, assemblies, parent conferences, and preparations for the holidays. I encourage parents and guardians to connect with teachers and staff during conferences - these partnerships are essential to helping every student succeed.
As we approach American Education Week and the Thanksgiving season, let’s take a moment to appreciate the value of our schools and the people who make them thrive. Together, our unity and community have set us up for a year full of promise, potential, joy, and continued success.
