Important update on scholarships/financial assistance

Due to recent changes in funding, and our commitment to providing access to as many families as possible, we are no longer able to offer full scholarships for lessons.

Starting with the fall I session, all scholarships will be limited to 50% of the program cost.

We understand that financial challenges can impact your ability to participate in our programs. To continue supporting families in need, we will offer half scholarships to those who can provide documentation of financial hardship or government assistance.

Acceptable forms of proof of financial need include (but are not limited to):

  • Medicaid or CHIP (Child Health Insurance Program)
  • SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) or WIC
  • TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)
  • Free or Reduced School Lunch eligibility
  • Section 8 Housing Assistance
  • Social Security Disability (SSD) or SSI benefits
  • Unemployment benefits
  • Foster care placement or guardianship documentation
  • Proof of recent job loss or other extenuating financial circumstances (e.g., eviction notice, medical bills)
  • Most recent tax return showing household income less than $44,000/year

Please submit documentation to Carlos Ceja (cceja@ywca-ens.org) if you would like to be considered for a half scholarship. Do not register on Community Pass until you have scholarship approval from Carlos.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to make our programs accessible and sustainable for as many families as possible.
