Construction Update 

We are pleased to report that construction on your new Recreation and Community Services Center is continuing to progress on schedule and on budget!  Please check out our last two weekly updates from our Construction Management partner CGSchmidt.  Work has begun on the track and the exterior of the building is really beginning to take shape and move into the final phases.    

Are you looking for something to get your special someone for Valentine's Day? How about a WAWM RCS Department gift certificate?! You can purchase them in our office and if you stop in February 3rd through February 14th, you'll get to choose what color you'd like! They are available in any dollar amount, never expire, and can be redeemed in our office, in the mail with a registration form, or online. 
Special Events 

The WAWM RCS Department's Annual Mini Prom is on Saturday, February 8th.   Come dress to impress with your little special guest and enjoy an evening of endless memories.  The night includes a sit-down dinner, dancing and laughter.  Limited spots are still available, don't miss out on this winter fun dance!

7th-8th Grade Coed Premier League @ Lane

All play starts on Saturday, March 7.  Teams will meet once a week for an hour on Saturdays until May 9.  The deadline to register is Friday, February 28.  Cost for all leagues is $30 resident and $45 non-resident.  The cost after the registration deadline is  $35 resident and $50 non-resident. Flyers for each grade level will be sent to all schools next week.  Players will be contacted by their coach with specific information after the coaches meeting on Tuesday, March 3, 6pm at Lane Intermediate.  All teams need volunteer coaches, contact the WAWM RCS office today to make a difference in the WAWM community!  Flyers are also available to view on our website.

Adaptive Recreation

The Snowball Dinner & Dance is fast-approaching. The dance will be held on Friday, February 28th and is for all high school students in special education, participants of the Community-Based Transition Program and any graduates or friends! Due to all of the kind and generous donations in 2019 from the WAWM RCS Department, Special Education Department, the PTA from Lane Intermediate and many of the dance participants, we can put this on without charge. Donations are greatly appreciated and will be accepted at the door. Come dressed to impress with your best semi-formal wear and have fun dancing the night away!

Adult Sports

Hard to believe it but it is getting to be that time of year to get off the couch and start signing up for our adult sport leagues.
