From the Director's Desk...
|
I recently read the book Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. The title references a traditional Caribbean wedding cake even though that's not what the book is about. I won't give it away; maybe you are interested in reading it too! It’s an interesting story, and that’s really what the library is all about. Sharing our stories, reading, getting information, and learning about other cultures and each other. Check out a book that you might not normally pick out. Come to a program, stretch your mind a little, or a lot. See for yourself what CPL has to offer you.

The Great Give Back

The Great Give Back is a community service initiative created to provide opportunities for NY public library patrons to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences.
This year, the CPL is pleased to host a diaper collection drive to benefit Baby Steps Baby Pantry in Newburgh. Please bring new, unopened packages of diapers, baby wipes and diaper creams to the library from October 10th through the 21st. Thanks!
