We joined kids & grown-ups from the Great Lakes to reach one million crunches for the Great Lakes Apple Crunch Day 2022! Our staff had a blast crunching on locally grown apples.

Alex DiNovo Presented at The Ohio State University

Alex DiNovo, Pres. & COO of DNO Produce, had the opportunity to serve as a guest lecturer for the Sustainable Supply Chains class at The Ohio State University, Fisher College Of Business!

Alex spoke to a group of eager students about DNO’s supply chain, business strategy, and sustainability initiatives. 

Our Team Attended the Annual SNA NY Conference

Our team had a great time at this year's annual New York School Nutrition Association Conference in Verona, NY! School nutrition professionals were particularly excited to taste our strawberry & blueberry cups, diced watermelon, sliced mango, and rainbow cauliflower at the booth. 

Marissa Dake Presented at Oakland County SNA

Marissa Dake, Director of Communications & Public Affairs, was invited to present to school nutrition directors from Oakland County School Nutrition Association! Marissa spoke about DNO's role in providing children with access to healthy fruits & veggies, the seasonality of produce, and much more.

Our team is excited to join even more school nutrition professionals in November at the SNAM Annual Conference

in Kalamazoo!

DNO Produce Awarded Industry Advocate of the Year

This award was given by the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA). There were over 2,000 produce industry companies eligible for this award. DNO was recognized for our standout efforts to influence child nutrition policies to provide greater access to fresh produce for kids. This continues to be our focus, and the award served as a confirmation that we need to continue to move the needle for a better future.

From our entire team, we are humbled and honored to champion the fresh produce industry and fight for child nutrition policies that provide school children with greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables every day.  

DNO’s Citrus Got Real team at the Jesse Owens 5K!

Our team showed up and  showed out at The Jesse Owens 5K! Sponsored by Nationwide Children's Hospital, the event honors the legacy of Ohio State and Olympic running great Jesse Owens.

Great job, team!

Our Brocc' Star this month is Guillermo Santiago

Guillermo Santiago is our October Brocc’ Star! Guillermo has been with the DNO Produce team for over 15 years and is currently our dedicated first-shift production supervisor. “Guillermo has been a big part of the DNO team, and we have seen him grow immensely as a leader. We thank him for his continued efforts to lead his team and move the company forward” says Alex DiNovo, President and COO of DNO.

This month's theme is all about Acts of Kindness! We invite our partners in school nutrition to take part in showing kindness to those around them. We're featuring yummy mango slices, fresh jicama sticks, and a fall favorite: butternut squash chunks!
