NJDOT Releases Framework for Regional Sediment Management


The NJDOT, in coordination with the NJDEP, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, academic institutions and nonprofit partners, recently launched the framework as a guide to restoring and safeguarding the state’s valuable wetlands and iconic waterfronts.

The Field Site Visit Workgroup recently organized a tour of Cattus Island County Park in Toms River, where attendees learned about a large living shoreline and interior marsh restoration project and viewed habitat degradation issues firsthand.
