Now Available: Vermont Farm to School Program Grant Opportunities
The Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, & Markets has released the 2019 Vermont Farm to School Grant Program Requests for Applications. Schools and early care providers have until November 14, 2018 at noon to apply.
Nutrition, Taste, and Cost: Balancing Priorities in the School Cafeteria
School nutrition professionals gathered in Milton, VT for the Child Nutrition Programs Summer Institute this August. We hosted multiple workshops, including one focusing on how to feed students nourishing meals on a budget — that they will actually eat.
The 2018 Northeast Farm to School Institute Starts Off Strong
Twelve school teams from seven Northeast states built action plans to create and strengthen whole-school, Farm to School programs in their community. Those plans are now being implemented with the support of an experienced coach to integrate best Farm to School practices within the school community. #NEFTSI

Jr Iron Chef VT is our statewide culinary competition challenging teams of middle and high school students to engage in improving their own health and the health of their community by creating nutritious, local dishes that inspire school meal programs.
