Welcome to our Fall Newsletter!

Nearly one year ago, we broke ground on an important building expansion and renovation project. It has been quite a journey, working through construction and a pandemic, but I continue to be so impressed by the commitment and passion of our team. I am also grateful for our kind and caring donors and community members who generously support our work. Thanks to you, our future is bright!

This newsletter is full of exciting updates, including the announcement of our 2020 and 2021 Cornerstone Awards. Join me in congratulating these wonderful people!

Cornerstone Award Recipients
During our donor thank you event on August 26th to celebrate the completion of our building project, guests enjoyed a special presentation that included the announcement of our 2020 and 2021 Cornerstone Award recipients. This annual award is given to an individual or group dedicated to advancing the mission of Cornerstone VNA. 

Congratulations to Dr. Bhargava and our local Community Mask Maker Groups: Tara Estates Mask Brigade, Face Mask Makers from Barnstead and beyond, Seacoast Mask Makers, and Friends of Farmington.

Seacoast Half Marathon
Run in 2021! In-Person or Virtual!
Join CVNA for the 16th Annual Seacoast Half Marathon. We are honored to be the beneficiary of this event and we hope you can join us! You can register to run the half marathon in-person on October 31, or you can choose from one of several virtual distance options and run a 5k, a Quarter Marathon or a Half Marathon between October 23-October 31. There's something for everyone!

COVID-19 Update
Vaccination Status of Staff and Volunteers
As a health care organization, we are dedicated to protecting the health and well-being of our patients and staff. Since the beginning of the pandemic, our staff received guidance and education in following the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, and we continue to follow their very strict guidelines. By the end of October, all of our staff and volunteers, who are not medically exempt, will be fully vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine and will also receive the Flu vaccine during Flu season.

We are planning a Public Drive-Thru Flu Clinic this Fall. Check out our website calendar in the coming weeks for additional information.

Making a Difference
Grant Currie Makes Prayer Shawls for CVNA
Grant is a Senior at St. John's Prep in Danvers, MA, and we recently learned that Grant has been quietly making No-Sew Prayer Shawls for Cornerstone VNA. He has set a goal to make ONE prayer shawl per week until his graduation. He has currently made 15 blankets with a goal of making 55 in total.

We are so honored to be the recipient of Grant's prayer shawls! His shawls will surely make a difference in the lives of our Hospice patients.

This young man is going places! Thank you, Grant!
